Last Thursday when it was raining our bottom lawn flooded. The water went over the retaining walls into the garden and over some of the trees. Patrick, Dad, Syd, Mum and I put on some togs and swam in the creek. When we where in the water Dad got the kayaks and Patrick got the loppers and they pruned the trees that Dad couldn’t reach. I liked sliding down the muddy bank and also Dad towing me down the muddy bank on the boogie board into the water.

While Dad, Patrick and Syd were kayaking, Mum and I were clearing the drains. We saw Kathleen and she told us that a tree had fallen through her garage roof and it was leaking. We went back to tell Dad and he went over to help fix it.

That night Cubs was on but we couldn’t go because the road was closed.
